About Me

Hi! My name is Oritsegidenene Beji pronounce O-ri-she-gi-de-ne-ne but everyone calls me Nene for short. My interest in web developement started back in 2020 when the pandemic hit and everyone was forced to stay at home. I'd always loved video games and the idea of building something through code and watching it come to life. I also loved the flexibilty of it and the ability to still be able to make a living from anywhere, employed or unemployed.

Fast-forward to March of 2022, I decided to speak to people in the IT industry to figure out a way to transition from Chemical Engineering to Web development. I enrolled in a 24 week instensive programme at the University of Birmingham. Focused on gaining technical programming skills in:

This application allows users to rehome pets which they're no longer able keep. User's are able to search for pets by breeds, they can like and comment on pet listings and message the owner if they're interseted in rehoming the pet.

Built using HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, Bootstrap, React, Mongoose, Express, BCrypt, ApolloGraphQL and NodeJS.

Tradr Marketplace

First full-stack developed application. This is an open-source marketplace app that allows the user to register, buy and sell products.

Built using HTML5, Handelbars.js, CSS3, Javascript, Bootstrap, Node.js, Express, MySQL, Sequelize, Prettier, Bcrypt, dotenv and more.

Movie Madness

This application allows the user to view movies and series details including the ratings and trailer.

Built using HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, Semantic UI, JQuery, OMDB API, YouTube API and Media query.

Build A Team

This is a Node.Js command-line application that takes in information about employees in a team and generates a HTML webpage with a summary of this information. It also uses jest to test every part of the code.

Built using Javascript, Node.JS, Inquirer Package and Jest.

This is a short timed quiz application with extra 20s penalty for wrong answers.
